I've been loading for this cartridge for 10 years, but I've never used 210 Partitions in it. I've got RL-15 and H-4350 that should be suitable powders for it. What loads have worked for you and what speed should I be seeing (or not seeing) in a 22 inch barrel?
Thanks!

I shoot the AI version with 210gr Sciroccos. I'm using 62.0gr of RL-17. Not sure if that helps you or not. Over the chrony it shoots 2865fps with very tight groups. Haven't tried RL-15. I used to shoot H-4350 till I found RL-17.

I have had my best luck with Big Game, shoots very good, meters in a measure and goes 2800 fps with 210's, mine is a 24 in. barrel. I am at work, but believe I was loading 62 grains in resized .35 Whelen cases.
RL15 will work, H414 is good as well, but for me Big Game is perfect for this one.
I just looked, the Ramshot guide doesn't have the .338-06, but the .338 RCM shows 61 gr Big Game for 2729 fps, so I think my guess was correct. I think I loaded 62 with 210 TTSX and 63 with 210 Noslers.

Teeder, I wanted to make this bullet my do everything bullet. I tried several different powders but settled on 62.5gr of IMR4350. It hit on 2750fps which is the exact same velocity as the factory Weatherby ammunition. Good accuracy and solid velocity so I stopped there. Most books have that load at around 2690-2700fps so I was pleased. My barrel is a 23in Pac-Nor w/1in10 twist 6 groove. I have some 180gr BTips that will go faster but for 1 load I don't think you can beat the 210gr. It's their flag ship bullet for the 338. I wish they would make a 210gr partition for the .358 Winchester. powdr

Thanks. I was thinking 2700 should be doable. I have the Nosler manual, but they didn't list "my" powders and it seemed like their data was a little conservative. Not that I'm trying to make a mag out of it, but I would like to get everything it's capable of. From comparing different sources, I came up with about 62 grain of H-4350 as being near max.

... but I've never used 210 Partitions in it. You've been missing out. I don't use RL-17 or H4350, so can't help there, but you're going to like that bullet in that case.

That's what I hear. It seems to get rave reviews from everyone that uses it.

Yeah, Chub Eastman killed a Boone and Crockett grizzly at 19 paces. Seems as if it will get the job done when the pucker factor is high! powdr

I'm running 62gr of H4350 with the 210gr NP, no crono results. Start 2-3gr lower and work up carefully. I use Winchester 35 whelen brass necked down.

Lots of ideas from Hodgdon: http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.aspThe 62gn H4350 would work for me. I've good luck with H4350 and RL-17 in the 338-06.

Thanks everyone!
I'm going to start around 58 grains of H-4350. BTW, I use RP .35 Whelen brass and WLR primers.

I been using VV-N550 with the 210 gr Partition in mine for many years. They go 2820 fps from my 22" barrel.
