Great day in the woods today. Enjoyed watching two bucks spar out in the field about 80 yards from my stand. Had a turkey come by and a woodpecker in the tree next to me. I love being in the woods.

Yeah still early for the leaves to change yet. But it will be here soon. Starting to cool off here now.

Virginia eastside is finally getting some nice mornings for tree-sitting. Just beginning to see a few of the leaves changing colors. I'm headed back out tomorrow, saw five deer opening morning...but what I wasn't expecting was to see three young ones still in spots, and have several more pictured on a game cam in the area.

Creek, do you have the same age of the fawns in your area?

I haven't seen any lately with spots. I am sure their could be a few around still.

Saw a doe in Montana with spots this past weekend. Seemed late to me too.
