Stick,
Have not seen you post much in this critter lattely. I know you have some. My question is did you find any time to take any of the 25-284's to the game fields this year and if so did you have any success with it.
If I remeber correctly you like to to use the 75g X as fast as accuracy will allow.
Slow winter days and nights have me a wondering....

Work ate my ass off, this year. Much of that by design, but still an unfortunate consequence,in it's relative rifle neglect.
I LOVE the chambering and am lucky enough to have a few rifles that do the chambering justice. I largely did the Titanium Thing this year,as a curiousity on it's behalf.
All of us here have at least one 25-284(I have 3) and 75's do a wonderous job. I think between The Pimp,Ramhumper and myself,we bought 50 boxes of 75gr X's,when Barne's looked to stop their production.
She's a great no bullshitt way,to deal high speed death,to unsuspecting victims.
GREAT cartridge.....................

we bought 50 boxes of 75gr X's So ahhh, what are the rest of us, who came late to the party, to dance with? The 100TSX don't suck too much, but it aint the Holy Grail, or is it?

You can still get the 75gr on the Barnes web site. $14.50 per box.

100's are better on paper. They've superior BC and energy values and slip through the wind nicely.
Allure of the 75's to me(us),is the ability to launch either the X or V-Max with a single sight setting and to allow some high volume practice for fun.
That the 75's absolutely haul ass and stuff things in their tracks, ain't none too hard to take either. I love the minimal 75 recoil,in my light 25-284's and their eery accuracy penchant. They'll reach wayyyyyy out there too.
It's like cheatin'....................
