Building a 99 chambered in 225 winchester? Could be an interesting rifle but is on the high end of the pressure scale. It would be interesting to see what the tests with high pressure 300 savage loads develop.

Are you serious about building one?

its one of the few that you can do... would need a new barrel though ...

I thought about doing a 99x225win too, then landed a 99 in 219 zipper (easy to case form from 25-35). Case pressure was more reasonable, and with a 24" (reclaimed remington 700) barrel it is a 3/4 MOA shooter out to 200 yards.

It's been done . Either Re-sleeve a Barrel or Buy a New.

liner for a 225? I thought they were for low pressure rounds only?

Sounds like a 22 high power with a 224 bullet. Are you able to load spitzers in your 219 zipper? Thanks Chris
