I had to show the F&G warden the cape and head when he checked me and saw the size of the body. He was convinced I had shot a bull on my cow tag. My NV bull hunt took us over 10,000...but I got the bull at the base of the range in the flat. It was awfully hot, and we had a full moon, so it was a matter of finding fresh sign and bird-dogging the heavy cover for each other. It was the last elk I've ever taken to a processor.
