RM, dunno what you've tried but Winchesters like the Winchester JHP's and FMJ's pretty well. Never found a reason to use anything else.
I am..........disturbed.

Remington Premier's and Winchester Supreme's shoot best in my 22 Mag. CCI's were terrible. Don

While not a Remington ... my 77/22 loves the CCI MaxiMags and hates the MaxiMag V+ and Winchester Supreme. The MaxiMag allow me to shoot out thumbtacks on friends targes at 50 yards, and if I'm doing my part it rarely misses ... I don't really know what kinda grouping that is ... but pretty good IMHO ... or pretty good enough for me!!

I ran an extensive test on ALL the brands. My scope was only a 4 power so I began to think it was me responsible for the lousy accuracy @ 100 yds. I pulled back to 50 yards and there was little improvement. Decided it was the rifle (a lever action Win.) I traded it in on a CZ and repeated the above...this time starting out @ 50 yards. There was one ammo that stood out above all the others and it was the Win. Supreme. I also used a chrono to check the velocities and the Win. Supreme gave a consistant 2010-2020 vel. All the others varied much more and they were as low as 1560 fps. I like the lighter bullets that Win. has because of increased vel. Now I just need to go out and use the rifle on some coyotes !! What'll be done with the other ammo is to give it to someone who's looking to find the best for their rifle. It's just collecting dust in my room.
