Scotts94, I think you picked the perfect synthetic stock for that gun. I recently got an African in 9.3x62. I glass bedded the receiver and free-floated the barrel in the factory walnut stock. I mounted Leu VX-3 1.5x5 w/German #4 reticule. I love that gun.

This is a 1927 production Remington m25 carbine in 25-20 that is 34.5" long, has a 17.7" barrel, 13" length of pull, and weighs a whopping 4lbs 9 oz. It is also a take down model. I updated the sights, and have been shooting and reloading for it quite a bit this summer. Fun little gun.

Italian Handi (better known as Beretta FS-1 or Beretta Companion). Snagged it last week. .410 cal, full choke, 26" barrel, 4lb-2oz, made in 1961. Wish it was the 28ga I have been looking for. It is still going grouse and squirrel hunting this weekend though.

Porchrail is the best I can do this morning. Hope to get to blood this one this fall.

...a plain ordinary pic and rifle--Ruger Hawkeye 22-250, straight 6x Burris in Warne mounts, Hogue stock, and an earlier Montana sling. just a "working/workhorse rifle"... with good handloads, it will do 2 inches at 225 yards--is a fast rig to get into action out to 300 for some hunting, (and when conditions are good on the range, will hit 2 1/2 minute targets out to 600), though for field use i consider it a 300-375 yard rig max. no Crazies in the background in this pic, but here you go Mark...
all learning is like a funnel: however, contrary to popular thought, one begins with the the narrow end. the more you progress, the more it expands into greater discovery--and the less of an audience you will have...

bump Lousy picture. Hard to get the whole rifle in the photo. But it is what it is.
