In extreme SE Saskatchewan the Huns have disappeared! I hunted four days last week for pheasant and sharptails and did not see one single solitary hun in areas where we have traditionally moved 10-20 coveys a day. Puzzling and sad.

More huns than I have seen in a few years in south-central MT but they get a lot of pressure close to Billings unless you have a "secret spot" Hunted a few days in the Chester country and only saw two small coveys. Did well one day in the Flathead.

Was out and about yesterday, jumped 4 good sized coveys of huns on two different BMAs. Didn't pull the trigger, all the flushes were out of range, 75 to 100 yds. I have never seen the upland birds so wild as this year.

In northeast MT it seems like if you can find them their coveys are bigger then average, but there just aren't as many coveys as usual.
