No... A close friend and his son have tags. They are hunting in an area where we hunted grouse and had wolves shadow us and our bird dogs. I wanted to go with them this week but I have to finish picking corn.

When I know, you will know.

With all the woofs in WI you'd think they'd have the quota filled already. wink

It's not going to be as easy as people think it is.

I'm all for the wolf hunt and would love to have a MN tag, but they just don't show themselves as much as people think and say.

I talked to a dude in Park Falls that claims he saw a pack of 18 cross the road. He said "I wouldn't be out in the woods without being 'straped up' with a couple revolvers in .44 mag if it were me." Really?

I read this week that the Center for Biological Diversity and Howling for Wolves activists filed an emergency request with the Minnesota Supreme Court to block the MN hunt.

Of course. But so far, even one has not happened. Bear, mountain lion, humans, golden retrievers, and a whole host of things are more dangerous. But I do love peoples' overreactions.

State Journal said no wolves were taken yet. Half of those who got a draw did not buy a license.

The local radio station reported four wolves were killed by hunters within the first 24 hours of the hunt.

I prefer not to get the wolf news from the liberal Huffing and Puffing-ton Post. The WIDNR has established a section on their website.
