Congrats, got my first this muzzle season also. What a great event to remember. I only had to pack mine a little over 2 miles, certainly wouldn't want to go further,but would have.:-).

To add; the shot was only ~60yds. Both bullets were complete pass throughs. One through the lungs and one shoulder blade. The other from the back of the ribs exiting low just in front of the front leg on the opposite side. I think that shot took out the heart. Massive amounts of blood on the ground within a step or two of the first shot.

To say I appreciate that 84M now more than ever is an understatement. When carrying it up the mtns with camp on my back as well, and then back down with a load of meat, every pound counts. And then it's not a burden when hunting and keeping it in my hands ready to go. It was not that long ago I was a Kimber MT doubter. No longer!
