Something is causing the firing pin strike to be cushioned. I have had this happen, when the firing pin left a good dent, but the cartridge did not fire.
This one was caused by excessive head space with a rimmed cartridge, using the force from the firing pin to drive the case forward.
But, anyway, I think your problem is being caused by a cushioned firing pin strike. Whether from headspace, the firing pin dragging or other causes.

Fixed it. It came down to putting a new pin in it. A heavier pin seemed to be what it needed. It fired primed cases well so far. I will be sighting in today.

Did some shooting, back to 100 yard clover leafs, nice.
It was two issues. It needed the heavier pin, and I put a new cocking piece in it today since I had ordered one. It was dragging on the inside of the trigger housing. Just a little polishing with a diamond stone on the sides of the cocking piece cleared that up.

I would call shilen and talk with atech and see what they say.I have one of their triggers and have had not one single misfire.
