A friend of mine can't go to wal-mart without buying a box of the Fedral 22lr value pack. I've always considered bulk ammo to be a poor value when you could spend a penny more per round and get better ammo. Well, I need to adjust my mistaken bias and be more open minded... The stuff shoots pretty darn good. In my 39A it will keep em in a nickle at 50 yards. http://www.grovestreet.com/jsp/onepic.jsp?id=1114275At 25 yards in my TP22 (a pocket sized 22 auto loader) it'll shoot about 3" http://www.grovestreet.com/jsp/onepic.jsp?id=1086336I even tried it in my CZ 452 and shot as well as some of my high brow ammo. With the exception of a few more fliers ~5 in 50 shots than my premium ammo the Fedral bulk kept the groups in the one ragged hole range at 50 yards. It also shoots well in my Single Sixes, Marlin Papoose, Remmy Bolt... Now, I can't go to wally world without buying it. Actually, it's the reason I go to wally world at all... Anyone else try it?

Yup, just roughing in the sights on that CPA Stevens rig ( this forum, under" Help with Chamber dims., rim thickness"....)
The 37 gr hollowpoints shot a very tight group, on the horiz. , vertically, it was a bit tall. It was still damned accurate, all things considered. Did it string vertically in your proven guns?

I shoot it in my 10/22. 1/2" at 50 yards is pretty normal. Now and then an unexplained flyer.
CCI Velocitor is my choice when I want to use premium .22 fodder.

I think the vertical stringing is more me than the ammo. 40+ year old eyes, open sights...
My scoped rifles plug em in tight little clusters.

Hmmmm . . . . .
Could not get it to shoot in my rifle.
But, sat next to a guy at the range whose rifle doted on the stuff.
My experience is that Winchester Power Points are the most reliable killers of the ammo that is accurate in my gun.

Yep, bought a box over Thanksgiving and it does great. Shot it Henry mini-bolts with the kids, S&W M-34, Ruger MKII Gov., Win. M-290, Win M-61, Rossi M-62A. It feeds flawlessly in the autos and grouped great in all. Fantastic in the S&W M-34.
It beats the heck out of Remington's bulk. I bought a box a couple of years ago at Wally World and 10% wouldn't fire. I muddled through the box, emailed Remington on the problem with lot number. I really expected a friendly reply saying they were sorry and an offer to send me a coupon for a discount off some Remington product. The reply was some what testy and stated that they would only address the issue if I returned the ammo to them. They're on my never buy again list.
