Might go look at a 2006 Honda Ridgeline. Has anyone one ever owned one or know much about them? Good, bad, or otherwise???

Is it Friday yet?

3.5L V6 250 HP with a 5 speed auto and unibody architecture. I wouldn't consider it heavy duty, but Honda reliability is hard to beat. They came out in March of 2005 as a 2006 model.

Bullet poof reliability. Kinda like a mini-avalanche, but gets better mpg.

I know a "builder" who drives one. He likes it's agility, but complains about towing power and mpg.

I would bet reliability would be on par with other Honda products.

Same as the Odyssey- great engine/trans combo. Not a torque monster, but with the PS and trans cooler, no problem towing around a fishing boat, snowmobile, utility trailer etc.
It's a Honda. They are stone cold reliable, and I certainly wouldn't classify any of them as 'gay'.

My wife owns a 2006 RT. First truck was taken back by the dealer under the "lemon law".It had a water infiltration issue. When it rain water was getting into the cabin thru the A-Pillars,a design flaw. After 3 attempts the dealer was unable to fix the problem and gave her a new truck.

80,000 miles later on the new truck the only issue was another design flaw. The tailgate latches jammed, the rods on the inside that release the latch were made wrong and Honda redesigned the rods and did the repair free of charge.

Gas milage.....SUCKS!!! Around town 13MPG and 17MPG hywy. The truck has too many blind spots for my liking. Leg room for the driver,IMO is inadequate.

Mechanically...EXCELLENT!! No issues at all. The trunk is also a nice feature.

To sum it up i guess if you like the truck and don't mind the gas milage then you should buy it...me personally i wouldn't buy one,my wifes opinion differs thou, she likes the Ridgeline.

There's a website you might be able to get more info hondaowners.com...goodluck.

Worthless offroad and likely to burn the countryside down if you get off trail. Don't even think about taking it near grass taller than several inches.

Anybody that refers to a Honda as 'gay' must be! Never heard a vehicle being referred to in that way in my life! Man!! Can't believe it; a queer truck!

Like all other trucks these days, though, I believe that they are too danged expensive and the Hondas a little more so than the others. Just my own miserable opinion; that's all!

my son has a ridgeline. he's bought it new maybe 3 years ago. never had a problem or issue that i am aware of. he uses it some off-road, but mostly to work and back. hard to beat a honda for reliability.

My wife drives an '06 with a hundred thousand miles on it. Haven't had a problem yet that I can remember. When it comes time to get rid of it, we will get another.

I bought an 06 Ridgeline on New Years Eve 2005 and my 2001 Chevy 2500 went into semi retirement and it new role of "hunt truck".
They both have around 125k on them but I have found myself getting into the 2500 more often these days. While there is nothing wrong with the Ridgeline I just like a big truck.
The Honda has been as everyone says "bullet proof" in as much as I have changed the oil when the truck asked me to, put on a set of tires and changed the brake pads at 75k. (the 2500 still has around 30% of the Original brake pads left)
The Ridgeline's low ride does not lend itself to serious off road and the suspension is a little mushy an rocky terrain and it bottoms out pretty easy. It has been a good daily driver and the "hidden" tool box under the bed has made up for a lot of shortcomings, I can keep everything I had in my crossover box in it and it is perfectly dry at all times.I cant believe all the other truck makers have not jumped on this concept.
I expected better MPG than the 16 city, 20(maybe) Hwy with the cruise set at 70. Though it is better than the constant 12 mpg in the 2500.
Like I said it isn't a serious off road vehicle but I didn't expect it to be, it has done all I have asked it to do and sometimes a little more, just depends on your actual needs.

PS - If I had opted for the handjob instead of the honeymoon I could probably afford a fleet of whatever the F' I wanted by now.

The only one I have ever seen out in the woods, was stuck up to the axels in a ditch.

They have a stiff Unibody and a rugged engine. They are a Front wheel drive truck. Nice ride and interior probably more truck then one needs. i don't know of anyone that held onto their Ridgeline more then 80K. Their Sales truly suck. The most they sold in one year was 50K + and after that they dropped like a rock. Word is they will be discontinued.
