I need to mail or ship some factory loaded ammunition in original boxes and a set of dies to a friend several states away.
What is the easiest way to do this? I really prefer the USPS but will use UPS or FedEx if I really need to.
Thanks for any help or advice in advance...

USPS has those "flat rate boxes". Get one that it all will fit in, tape it up real good and watch and grin as the putz behind the counter carries it off. My dad used to get cast bullets that way. Takes a postal worker with biceps and a strong back.

Of course if you use UPS it will likely get there in one piece.

You better check the regs. I don't think you can send loaded ammo in the mail.

UPS and pay hazardous fee for ammo. USPS for die in smallest box they have -- 5 bucks or so. Ammo, pistols, powder by USPS is illegal (so Alan wants you to lie to the postal clerk). FYI

It is illegal to ship ammunition via the mail. Do not do it. Don't even think about lying to the clerk about the contents.

I have never led to a postal clerk our suggested that anyone do so. I' ve bought ammo and had it yshopped to me in the mail. I've really had no need to send ammo. When did it become illegal to give rather than receive?

Illegal to ship ammo on USPS. Can ship UPS marked ORM-D, loaded ammo not considered Hazardous Material.

FYI You don't have to pay a Haz mat fee for ammo. Drop them off with a UPS driver or the main the hub, the idiots at the UPS stores won't take them (nothing illegal though). They need an ORM-D label placed on the box and that's it, no extra fees. https://www.google.com/search?q=shipping+ammo+label&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a You cannot ship primers without Haz-mat fees and it's a no-no via USPS

NO... Live ammo cannot be shipped USPS.. It has to go UPS ground or similar..
