Well looks like I need to try an new recipe

it'll be interesting to see if the Barnes LRX or the Accubond is the most accurate.

Looks like that 6.5 ABLR will give the Berger VLD a run for its money...

Good timing. The UPS guy just dropped off my 7 LRM tonight and it has an 8.5 twist Rock barrel on it. It'll give me another option if it doesnt like the 180 bergers I'm loading tonight.

Yet another reason for me to get back into a .270. And that is NOT a bad thing...

There's going to be bunches of builds around that 270 bullet...

I've been wanting a 150 NAB in 270 for a long time... guess my question is, is the construction of these new NAB's the same as the "regular"... the NAB's have nice, thick jackets and I wouldn't give that up for some BC number which is essentially meaningless to most of us.

These may turn out to be great bullets that will compete with Bergers and other custom bullets; however, as alluded to above, they may not work too well in factory twist rifles which always seem to me to be one or two twists slower than necessary to stabilize these longer/high BC bullets. Working in the firearms dept of a large national sports store, I see people every day who want to get into the long range "game" but won't make the intellectual, financial, and time commitments necessary to become fluent in long range riflery. Not saying they can't have fun trying, but frankly, some folks watch too much edited television, if you catch my drift. But, you're right, these may be the magic bullets everyone is searching for & they probably will sell a pile of them. I know I'm gonna try 'em.

They are both rated to 3200 fps at the top end so the answer is maybe they will be similar in construction? Time will tell.

Great smile I'm leaning more and more to a 270 of some kind as my next gun. With your big boomers you must be really pumped to try them soon smile
