Thanks all! It was a absolute blast of a hunt.
Brad was right when he said my Dad looks to be in great shape; he routinely kicks my azz up the hill, and he's the only person I hunt with who's strides are much longer than mine. I learn something from him every time we get out of the truck, that is for sure.
I'm back down at school now studying, but it sure was tough to leave home knowing that next weekend we'll be back out there with my brother's cow tag, my cow tag, my sister's buck and bull tag, and my Dad's buck tag! grin!

Eric Eric, my dad spotted this buck up the hill while we were glassing another small group of deer, and I got into position prone over my pack at 500 yards. Right as I popped on into the chamber and got the scope on him, he disappeared into the timber. We hauled butt up that 500 yards straight up, and I popped out of a small draw expecting to see him long gone. Surprisingly, he and 3 does were staring right at me, so I jacked one in, lay down on a flat rock, and busted him through the shoulders. It was a great stalk, and the second good one we'd completed in 2 years!
