Cool. What kind of knife is the one on the left with the stag handle? I have one very similar, an old York Cutlery Solingen knife. I also like the Case folding hunter. I like using carbon steel knives....easy to sharpen and a lick or two on a strop or steel brings em right back.

All I can make out from my grandfather's knife is"Solingren Germany". Watched him use it numerous times as a child and I always admired it.After much pleading, and being that I was his favorite ,he gave it to me over 35 years ago. The middle one was my fathers that he bought while he was still in the Navy back in 1959.....if they could only talk....

I have an old Case folding hunter exactly like your fathers. It's still one of my favorites and I carry it every deer season.

I have my maternal grandfathers knife. Very similar to your grandfather's knife, except the blade is shorter. Made in Solingen also.

Nice pic. We do good when we take them with us.

Cool. It's like the 3 amigos.
Take a child hunting, fishing or trapping. They are the next generation of outdoors people.
