Not knowing what you hunt nor the distances I would suggests a fixed 6 power. If you can find a good one, a used Burris 6x mini fits on mine really well. Lots of eye relief.
Forgot to say I saw this in the other thread you posted about it, pretty rifle.

6x42 if that fixed spins your bottle,if not then a 3.5-10,as long as it's a Leupold...nice rifle!

Burris fullfield II, I have 4 of them and have never had a problem with any of them. Great scopes and relatively inexpencive. I have a Leupold VX-3 4.5x14x40 on my Luxus 6.5x55, I cant tell the difference in the glass between the two. I like the lupy but not $700.00 worth.

Gorgeous rifle. 6x36 Leupold with LR reticle.
Good hunting.

Leupy 2.5x8 would be my choice. That fit perfectly on a #1B 25/06 I used to own.

Is it the lighting or is there stock finish on the recoil pad?

Lots of us have problems getting the scopes far enough back on No,1s. In my experience, the great 2.5-8 and 6X Leupold do not mount far enough back. The only set up that I have that kind of works on my .25-06 is a Non AO 3.5-10 that I robbed off my pre war M70. And, that required extension rings. An acquaintance gets by with the 2.5-8. I can't crawl the stock anymore.
The Burris mentioned are nice scopes, but IMO the eye relief is too short to use on a No, 1. Some of the older Burris scopes that had the turrets well forward work just fine. Wish I had one in 6X. jack

Ruger's failure over 50 years to correct this problem in the original design -- even as they hike up the MSRP annually -- is a puzzler. Rail mounts are now ubiquitous -- elsewhere -- and custom mounts also show another work around but the NIB #1 product remains just what Ol Bill offered 50+ years ago.

Gorgeous lumber on that #1, Fotis. You done good!
Leupold VX-II in 2-7X33 works good on my #1. Lots of eye relief, and clear and bright.

JT, I have an older Fullfield 3-9 (not FF II) which is as you mentioned. It works for me all the way to 9x without extension rings - looks a bit weird mounted that far back, but it works. Sad to say I also have a Fullfield (not II) 6x which does not quite work. It has a longer OAL than the Leupold but the turrets are in the center and the eye relief is less than the Leupold so the net effect is that I have to crawl the stock too much. Nice scope, I need to buy a normal rifle to put under it.

Fotis: Beware of turds at all costs - the 25/06 Remington cartridge can make good use of a lot more scope power than 6x - ESPECIALLY when in Antelope and Mule Deer country! I have a Leupold 4.5x14 variable scope on my Ruger #1-B in 25/06. I recommend this scope highly to you. I Hunt Antelope, Mule Deer and Whitetails with my rig by the way. Great looking wood on your #1-B. Best of luck to you and this last tip - be sure and try the wonderful Nosler 100 grain Ballistic Tips (if you are a handloader) - this bullet is both accurate and very lethal on the mentioned game. My .25 is not a number one, but I have tried half a dozen scopes on it and finally settled on a Burris 4.5-14...my only number one is a .300 H &n H ..It has a Burris 3-9..I prefer the higher power scope for coyotes..but for deer or antelope the 3-9 would be ok, but even for those I prefer more power..as for the 6x Leu. I have a couple on my .22 rimfires..
