how many are ready to go now and where (approximately) are you all headed???? Got the itch and I could leave tomorrow, if the season only started now and not on Saturday..... cry

I will be heading to Long Pine on Friday, early AM...Will take forever for the day to get there and the time will go too darn quick..... wink

Gonna be hunting on the river at Cozad saturday morning! I hope the EHD disease hasn't ruined it there!

We have friends in the Atkinson area that say the EHD has really been a problem out there. They have found many nice bucks dead on thier place as well as a pile of does. Bummer! I wonder how long it will take for the population to bounce back?

On the population bounce back, I have heard a couple of years...never know if we get back to back to back drought years though.

I also heard the EHD was worse east of Bassett (50 miles west of Atkinson) than west of Bassett.

Good luck to all going out this weekend and be safe.

I'll be mostly Saline county and hunt a bit in Lancaster county. From what I've seen bowhunting those areas the deer pop. is normal. Good luck to everyone. Should be rutting pretty good.

Headed to a couple of ranches west of Valentine 15-20 miles who have sent us trail cam pic's of bucks in the 150 range. Claim Blue Tongue, etc. have not hit hard there.

We'll see.
