My little brother tries so hard but he's never bagged anything but dinks. I'm so proud of him tonight for the effort he put in and the heart he shows. Earlier today on the way to his blind, he slipped into the creek and got wet but refused to go home. Took off his boots and socks and wrapped his jacket around his feet and spent the day hunting. Hunting means the world to him as you can tell in the video. Always great to be out with folks that have the passion and are willing to endure hell and highwaters. A fine buck there, but on the critical side, tuck the tongue in before snapping the pic next time.
On being a real diehard: I once spent a 50 degree day naked in my chest waders steelheading when a buddy turned loose of my bow line at the launch site. The only option was to swim out waders and all to catch the boat before it headed downstream on its own. I didn't catch anything that day either.
