Apparently happened last week. CNN just now reporting it. Some excerpts from the story: "Two Iranian Su-25 fighter jets fired on an unarmed U.S. Air Force Predator drone in the Persian Gulf last week, CNN has learned."
"The drone's still and video cameras captured the incident showing two SU-25s approaching the Predator and firing its onboard guns.
The Iranian pilots continued to fire shots that went beneath the Predator but were never successful in hitting it, according to the officials.
U.S. military intelligence analysts are still not sure if the Iranian pilots simply were unable to hit the drone due to lack of combat skill, or whether they deliberately were missing and had no intention of bringing down the drone. But as one of the officials said, "it doesn't matter, they fired on us."
The official confirmed the United States protested the incident but has not heard back from Iran."That last sentence makes me kinda chuckle. Did we leave them an angry message on their phone and we're just waiting for their return call? Here's the link: CNN: Iranian Jets Fire on US Drone

Too bad the drone can't shoot back. Some of them can but you have to follow the rules of engagement. We know what they are under O and Benghazi has defined that even clearer.

Notice how this happened on November 1st??? How inconvenient it happened right at the time the Sandy and Christie were licking his balls and taking the attention away from the embassy slaughter. Probably had nothing to do with the delay in reporting it after the election though- NOT.

I didn't mean it couldn't be done, but won't be. It would be sweet to put those Iranian [bleep] in the drink. It would be smarter to put them under a few large glowing clouds now!

That detail seems to be missing from the news.
If the drone was in Iran's airspace, shooting at it is fair play. If not, that rates retaliation.
