I going to dust off my old 280 KS and I'd like to shoot 120 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips. I'm curious to see what loads people are using. Thanks.

Bullet - Nosler 120 gr BT
Brass - Remington
Powder - H-4895 (46.5 gr) Maximum is 47.5 gr
Primer - Federal 210M
Velocity - 3,123 fps

I get excellent accuracy with this load, 3/4" five shot groups at 100 yds.

Not quite what you're looking for probably but I shoot a min charge of H4350 under 120 BT's in my 280AI. They're only going about 2500 fps but that basically duplicates my 7-30 Waters handgun loads that work great on deer for the ranges I hunt. Excellent accuracy without excessive meat damage.

I've used Ramshot Hunter. 59 grs. with Hornady's 120 gr. SP shot .7-.8 for three at 100 yds. But the same charge with the 120 gr. Nosler BT didn't do any where near as good. Didn't try different charges, but, as a rule, Ramshot's Hunter usually shoot quite well. Some rifles might handle as much as 61 grs. with a 120 gr. bullet. E
