If you'll recall he disappeared back in July and surfaced a few weeks later at the Mayo clinic for "extensive inpatient evaluation for depression and for gastrointestinal issues" (I don't guess that had anything to do with the FBI wanting to talk to him, eh?). I wonder how much the taxpayers are on the hook for his several month inpatient stay at the Mayo Clinic?

Its a sad commentary on society and especially the southside of Chicago when a US Rep. can get re-elected while in an in patient facility for a bi-polar disorder. Now a plea deal, prison and the cost of a special election. What a country, ya gotta love it!

Its a shame, that instead of making it a law that when one of their own breaks the law they lose all benefits, congress passes a law that allows they to conduct insider trading with impunity.
