Tim I have a few zastava 98 commercial action and with a little work they smooth up real nice and yes you can fit a 3 position safety to them That's part of the plan. Also a Timney Featherweight....

imo, you have the best action of all(commercial mauser). i have a 798, interarms, and a buddy has the latest zastava and they are equal as far as quality.

Planning out the build now, deciding on stock, trigger, bottom metal. Thinking I want to go classic styling, with a subtle twist of some sort....

You might be better off finding out what that action with double set triggers is worth, selling it and buying what you want/need for the build you want to do. You may make out better that way...
