had deer all over me Saturday morning. Does and bucks. Had one group of 3 bucks come out. A great 8 pointer. This is him. They were in some really thick crap. They started to go over a hill and out of sight. There was the 8, a 10 and a 6. I watched them (or thought I was) and had a small opening to shoot through and when I had decided which one was the 8, I shot and dropped him when he got in the opening. Could only see his shoulder, hopefully I learned a lesson. I killed this 10, but I am happy he is a nice deer. It does make me wish we had a one buck limit in Tennessee. Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. My brother is on his way up this morning, and the guys that I hunt with are super nice and hoping one of them kills him. They had several great bucks on camera. Hunted about 2 hours and a there are couple on camera that are much better than the 8. He dressed out 150 lbs.

Congrats and good luck to your group on getting them big boys...
I'd rather have a bad day hunting than a good day working!

The weather this weekend was the drizzling $hits. I mostly worked on my suntan on Saturday, but dropped a couple of does on Sunday Morning. Mrs. Tide connected with a 10 pointer later in the day on Sunday, and Tide Jr. finally got to drop the sear just before dark Sunday evening. His was a jacked up 4 pt. that had absolutely NO business breeding. Big deer though.

Helped a Bud load one about that size yesterday morning. His hunt was over in 30 minutes.
I saw bucks chasing a doe this morning, weird breeding pattern this year in our part of Ky.

The deer were on their feet where I was at. I hope he doesn't lose him, but I am hoping my brother killed the 8 ptr yesterday afternoon. He shot him at 60 yards with a 7mmmag, 140 gr accubond. He said he jumped back up and ran out of sight in the same spot I killed the 10, it is thick, he thought he heard it fall, going back this morning to see if he can find it. It will ease my pain of shooting the "wrong" buck, will by far be my brother's best buck.
