Called Lee Reloading to see if they would make a case length trimmer. The throat is too small and they will not be making one. I may have to switch methods on trimming! Are your "V-max's" factory ammunition by the way? I use the Wilson case trimmer for my 17 and 20 caliber case trimming (as well as all other calibers!) - it works wonderfully well on the tiny cases. The fine folks at Wilson will make you a "case holder" for the 17 Hornet case rather quickly, based on my past dealings with them on "wildcat" cartridges that have gone factory. I just got home from a lengthy trip to the west coast and I could not find a Ruger 77/17 Hornet Varmint model anywhere! I guess I am going to have to get on a list somewhere?
