It was only for relative bone/organ locations. Broadside is an easy way to show that. I've not shot one in that position however.
Depending on position, it's possible to break bone *and* get heart and/or lungs.
Broadside like the .gif position, I probably would wait for a quartering shot or shoot the heart. Still, its pretty cool.

Didn't mean to be preaching at you. Quartering shots are my favorite. Just restating what your chart showed, that broadside shoulder shots miss the vitals....

I agree. One just has to try to generate a 3-D view of where the good stuff is and shoot from any angle.
