Wow, just Wow!

What a toad... heavy, dark rack. Just outstanding. Love the palmation. Gives it a Red Stag look.

Big thumbs up telling the whole story warts and all... that's hunting. Not everything goes right all the time.

Amazing bull!

The palmation on the rack reminds me of some Roosevelt bulls I've seen over the years. They live in dense coastal forests similar to what you described.

Definitely a once in a lifetime bull for most anyone. Great story and actually tells what it is like to be successful elk hunting- getting after it and not giving up every single day you can hunt. Most hunters just don't have the patience or time to stay with it like that. Congrats on a great bull and great hunt.

I actually saw one approximately that large across a canyon 2 years ago but all I had in my pocket was a spike tag. After he pushed the spike out of the herd that I eventually shot, he took off down the canyon and disappeared when he spotted me at approximately 1000 yards. Those old bulls are indeed smart and tough. I guess that is how they get that old.... smile

Between this and your lion, I think it might be time for you to find another hobbby to win. 2012 is going to be a hard year to follow. Go ahead, get the wolf and buy a set of golf clubs.
