Wanting to know everyones opinions on storing these awesome custom knives inside a leather sheath for long periods of time. I just need a simple ... Yes, you're fine OR No, it's a bad idea! Happy Thanksgiving

Sometimes its not a easy as yes or no.Generally speaking most say don't.But what is long term storage? What type of steel ? How was the sheath tanned and finished etc. I have stored carbon blades in there sheaths for over a year with no problems as long cleaned and oiled before. I don't think I would store a high end knife in the sheath. Sorry for the long answer and I will take the safe response and say NO.
