Good luck to all. Have fun and be safe. I'm out the door and into the truck.

Looking forward to some pics and stories.

Took what looks like to be one of those European Deer this AM. Small fellow, but the Grandkids wanted to see a Buck and this was almost a sure thing.

About 2 hours into a 3 hour haul out of the hole I decided to lay down for a spell.
If another comes out of there he will be packed out. Thank God for a little sliding snow today. Actually it wasn't all that bad. Had all day and took my time.

Funny part was I had my jacket and stuff all by the door. Took everything but the jacket. Got out of the truck and looked and thought oh well take the berber fleece on the back seat. Great except my drag rope was in the jacket at home.

But it was my lucky day. wink I had on both suspenders and a weave belt. He was pulled out with the belt. A little short, but it worked.

Buddy of mine bagged an 8 point (Savage 110 in 270 Win, Rem factory ammo) but the only pictures were taken with a film camera. I passed on a 200 yd shot at a running buck and my son saw 3 (one horned forkie and 2 legal ones) but couldn't get a shot at either of the legal ones. We all saw at least a dozen deer by noon except my Dad, he only saw 2 does.

We came home tonight since my son doesn't want to miss school, I'm going out local on Tuesday. We'll head back to DuBois for Saturday.

All in all, a pretty good day.

Dale K...where in the DuBois area do you all hunt?

I'm over in Heath Township (above the pump station) just west of Brockway

The most surefire way to find success is to leave the necessities at home. grin

Congrats!

Congrats on the buck!

I'd rather have a bad day hunting than a good day working!

Where in that area? I lived in Punxsy for 2 years. Now I'm down maybe 45 minutes east of you. Are you in 5C down here?

Congrats. Sounds like you had a workout as well.
