I have owned a few over the years. None fit, and my shooting was average at best. A real need for cast off and dropping shoulders suggests one of the new models with shims.
My needs/wants... Not worried about price, under 2k is fine I shoot mostly skeet and trap, some upland, maybe some water foul No brand preferences I am age 50 and will not be torture testing this gun with 200 k rounds, or swamps, etc I have shouldered the Vinci and it seemed fairly good out of the box. The new Winchester not so good.
Any advice welcome. Do some models offer more adjustment than others?

Ask this question over at shotgunworld.com, in the semi- section. You ought to get a fair amount of responses there, in addition to any you would receive here.
I love my Franchi 48 and 1100's, however, I've never been "fitted" for a shotgun. A buddy of mine has and it resulted in have an adjustable comb and shims to perfect his LOP. He's pretty spot on with his clay and fowl shooting with it(Beretta), but he's not a long gun/rifle guy. He maintains they are two different forms of shooting.

Normally I would suggest the Beretta 391, but I shot an A400 this week. If you're willing to spend up to $2000 on a Semi-auto, I would check one out. I was impressed...
