I am looking to trade my Pre-64 model 70 featherweight 30-06 for something I would use. I just can not warm up to the Pre-64 so I figured I would see what is out there to trade for. I really prefer stainless guns and would like to end up with something like that. It is not that I do not want the caliber it is just the rifle. This Winchester dates 1956, still has original open sites with Buehler base and ring with Weaver K4 60-B crosshair scope still bright and clear, bore is bright and clean with very sharp rifling, bluing remains very good through out on barrel and action with some slight wear about 8 inches back from the front sight and also on the front sight hood. This rifle is in very good condition for its age. The only thing that is not original as far as I know is the butt pad and that can be restored back to original fairly easily. The buttpad is now hard from age so if I was going to keep it I would replace it anyway and probably go back to an original. LOP is 13 3/4" as it sits now. I have removed the scope and bases but they will be included with the rifle. The pics are not mine but were sent to me when I traded for the rifle. Thanks to all for looking.
