Took this Ks buck 11/29/12 at 4:55 p.m. near McPherson Ks. One shot at 184 yds with the 99F did the trick. Using Rem C-Lkt 150 gr. Weighed 240 lbs on the hoof, aged at 5 1/2 yrs. Had 9 pts but right broken up from fighting. smile

Used to see some big whitetails while pheasant hunting there in the '80s. Wasn't shooting bambi in those days so never followed up.

Very nice buck but the gun in the picture is post mil, not pre.

Nice buck! Mine wasn't that big, but I killed a nice Kansas buck opening day with my '99 in .308 too. Seems to be the year of the '99 in Kansas.

my mistake, my fingers typed pre, even though my mind knows it's a post...I'm a hunter not a collector as don't have the money to do that. But I have a few pre-mil EG's and one old SR-A 30-30. They all work pretty much the same, dead animals at what they aim.

Appreciate you guys and the knowledge I've gotten here...

240? Wow, what a hog! Great deer and nice poke with the 99F. Great work! I got to hunt KS someday.
