MY son, daughter and grand daughter have had or have the flu in my house. I'm glad I got mine early. I have dodged it so far. Lot's of throwing up and feeling like crapola. kwg

One other piece of advice: Get to a health food store and buy some elderberry extract lozenges. They are cheap. The best tasting ones come from Solaray. Don't eat too many, or you'll get diarrhea. I seem to tolerate up to 6 per day. They are an effective anti-viral. They are a good preventive measure, and if you start using them as soon as you notice symptoms, your flu (or cold) will be much shorter and much less severe.
Got my shot 8 days ago. Hope I can keep well for another week until it takes full effect.
Be not weary in well doing.

If you have vomiting and diarrhea, it probably is NOT the flu but a form of gastroenteritis.
Influenza is nothing to fool with or shrug off. It can kill you in a few days, and HAS killed millions. Flu killed more American soldiers during WW-I than combat. Earlier, the Spanish Flu killed somewhere between a quarter and a third of the whole world population. Fact.

We have been going to get ours for the last, what, month or two, but kept forgetting to do so. We remembered last night and did go and get them. I do not know if they really help or not, but my doc advises me to get one because of my diabetes, so like the good sheeple I am, I do.
I have had some ugly colds/sinus infections in not too distant years past, but no flu. I attribute that more to not having the kids here anymore than a flu shot. The kids were exposed to and brought home some pretty nasty air-borne afflictions when they were still in school. We both have been much less susceptible to those types of things since the kids left the PS system as well as college and our home.
Someday I hope to be the person my dogs think I am . . .

Not a good track record a few years ago with the swine flu that never lived up to its billing by the CDC. Maybe the CDC needs to save face to save its funding and they�ve been out exposing people to one of the flu types from the shot. At least that makes for a good conspiracy theory. We�ll need congressional hearings for a year or two to get to the bottom of this.

Being anti-social, not working in a crowded office or hanging out in dens of iniquity, I'm pretty low risk. The only times I ever had the flu was when I got the flu shot. I know the flu shot didn't cause it, but it didn't help for the strain I caught.
Besides CDC is liberal and can't be trusted for truth.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost....
