great morning indeed

I was talking to ole PMC the other day and he was telling me the former landowner of 256 acres in Henry County we used to hunt was in need of some meat. He has been busy with work and has not had time to hunt so sat night pat busted one for him but he was really wanting 3 to have done in summer sausage. Even tho he dont own that land anymore (some of the best i have ever hunted) I really wanted to hook him up as he was so good to me when i hunted his place. he wanted me to shoot every doe i see... so i was down with that not to mention he is looking to buy land in montana

Any way i saw several this morn but a lot of small bucks pushing does around, called in a lil spike to 5 yds then i had a group of 5 does come in so i busted 2

met up with pat and he took them to his bud who was very happy especially with their size

i really feel like pmc scales are off i think the one doe was bigger but i didnt have mine with me so i have to go with it

doe 1

dressed 107 lbs
32 yds
dropped in track
nef 280 single shot
120 nbt over max re19
3295 fps ml vel
burris fulfield 2 scope

doe 2

dressed 120

52 yds high shoulder complete pass thru
dropped in tracks
nef 280 single shot
120 nbt over max re19
3295 fps ml vel
burris fulfield 2 scope

I know that deer get a little bigger up here, but are those really considered "big" does down there?

I'm not being a smart-ass, it's a serious question. I consider somewhere about 150-160 pounds dressed a big doe up here, and have had a few right around 200.

Goalie, Around this area those are big doe. SMH at Da, you are letting me down. You could stuff most of your other does inside of those!

That is why I was asking. Bucks around where I hunt are getting large when they are over 200 pounds field-dressed and the does around 150ish.

Those are some big does DA. Congrats. I am glad you were able to help someone out who allowed you to hunt their property. I did the same thing this year and have delivered 4 processed deer to the landowners family. They really appreciate it as I am sure your guy did. It helps to build a solid relationship with landowners.

Take a child hunting, fishing or trapping. They are the next generation of outdoors people.
