I believe the scientific classification is 'big-ass old-growth Spruce'. Are these not all over the place in Louisiana?

I believe the scientific classification is 'big-ass old-growth Spruce'. Are these not all over the place in Louisiana? Not that I've ever noticed but, there is some mighty big cypress here!

I put a flip-flop recoil pad on my Mauser today and also stenciled a yote track on each side of the stock.. I got out and snapped a sodden fence post pic of it...(sorry 'bout the blurred pic!) Ben
