So, I generally wonder about these threads, and am not the most religous of people. Quite frankly, I question my faith a great deal and right now it is really being challanged.
Tomorrow we take our 7 year old daughter to a pediatric cardiologist for further testing. She has been having extreme chest pains followed by an unusually high heart rate and is much more lethargic than normal. It may not be serious, but it is definately not normal. It has us worried and confused and I would greatly appreciate any positive thought you all could throw our way.

That's a tough row to hoe. A friend of mine's niece has already had a heart transplant at twelve. Kids are tough and resilient. I hope all goes well. To borrow from Star Wars and no offense intended, may the Force be with her.

Prayers from here as well. I've got a 7 year old daughter also, and we've run up against some abnormal things lately that have been cause for us to have some tests run. I'll add your daughter's prayers to the ones I'm already praying.....

Thoughts and prayers for your daughter. It sounds like the tachycardia arythmia my wife had. Heart would spontaneous race, 180+ bpm, and then suddenly return to normal. She'd be exhausted after that. Dr's could stop it with an injection, but it would of course return. Finally had an ablative surgery which burned off an excess node in her heart which was the source of the 'short circuit'.
