She has made those comments several times before (about expecting/requesting federal funds for Detroit). This I believe is simply the first time she's been honest enough to call it quid pro quo. Sort of give her kudos for that actually.

Short version, the state has offered detroit $30 million to help prevent them for going bankrupt. Of course the state has a laundry list of financial issues which they feel detroit needs to resolve in order to recieve the funds. Well this ignant fool has told the govenor basically to STFU and give the funds to detroit with no strings attached, the money BELONGS to detroit (another story). She's told the govenor detroit will take care of their issues without outside intreference.
Ya, that's worked out real for detroit for the past 25+ years...
Expect the govenor to appoint an emergency financial manager within the next thirty days.
