One time I turned the oven on and my garage door started to open, freaked me out. Turns out it was a loose neutral wire out on the meter pole.

My garage door opener rings the neighbors doorbell everytime I press it.
EVERYBODY is pro-gun, some just don't know it. When an anti-gun person is in trouble, the first thing they do is call 911 and demand that they send somebody with a gun!

It would be, except the are a really nice elderly couple (my great Aunt and Uncle), and I go to alot of concerts. I tend to come home sometimes in the early morning hours, and sometimes have a few cocktails in me, this results in me forgeting the situation and parking in the garage at four in the morning. My girlfriend finds it hilarious, I giggle a little bit my self. Then the phone call from my mother comes at breakfast time. I've even offered to change their doorbell, they refused. I'll be damned if I have to buy new garage door openers.

Have you got a police station nearby???? Place I used to work for had a station down the street with a pretty high output radio tower next to it... the front gate would do the same thing, sometime come in early in the morning and the front gate would be wide open with nobody around!
Get rid of the remote and put in a keyed hardwired switch on the outside... unless you have to be able to open it from your vehicle without getting out!

my son used to have small remote control fisher price toy car.when you put something in the microwave and turned it on,the car would start up and take off across the floor.If you put the car near the microwave ,it really went fast.
A new microwave fixed the problem.
