Any problems I should look for on the new models?

My buddy has one in .300 WSM that he absolutely loves. Doesn't hurt that he stole it from a local shop for $500.00!

I have the 25.06. Shoots like a dream.

I have one in .300 WSM as well and it is a kick ass rifle.

One of the best shooting out-of-the-box rifles IMO.

I sure as hell didn't pay $ 500 though!

Mine is in 308. Best new rifle I've seen in my lifetime. I like the WSM version better in that rifle FWIW.

I've handled the new Winchester Extreme Weather and it did feel good, really good. They're made by FN in South Carolina now.

But having been a Remington 700 fan for years, is there anyone here who can compare the Win Extreme Weather to the Remington competitor - the 700 Mountain Stainless?
