Having a rifle built, 300 wsm. #3 Krieger barrel SS. Gunsmith invited me to bring a couple pieces of brass from my die and he will machine the chamber to match.
What would be your choice of resizing dies?
Thanks

My choice would be a Redding neck sizer bushing die, in which case this sequence makes no sense.

My preference (that and 50 cents might get you a weak cup of coffee) would be for your smith to use a roughing reamer which has been matched up to his finish reamer to make a custom FL die out of a Newlon blank (which he will then have to have heat treated). This will cost a few bucks but is probably the best way to go. . . good luck with your new build! (note: while you're spending your hard earned money, have him make you a wilson style bullet seater using a hunk of old .30 cal. barrel and a seater stem from Wilson. He will be using his finish reamer to do this.)
