I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum. I do tend to fit in well wherever I go in person. The campfire is the most outside exposure I get. No TV, no newspaper.

OK, how a bit more detail. If your going to show some eye candy make it personal. Is that tiger strip maple, who did the work, what scope is that and.... Geez, even a centerfold has the personal data in there!

Very pretty. I wish Ruger would do a 1V in 22 LR.

Geez, even a centerfold has the personal data in there! That wood would be walnut and a Colorado smith by the name of Richard McKinney did all the work. The scope is a 70's vintage Unertl 16X.

Very nice!
Can you tell what us type of chamber it has?
What kind of shooting do you plan to do with it? Looks like a Schuetzen rig, except for the straight stock. I'd have gone for a pistol grip, but that's me.

Schuetzen, yes. Stayed with the straight stock as I had the wood and did not want to bend the lower tang. Also, had another flat bottom forearm made for bench shooting. Not all vintage off hand rifles were pistol grip but there is an advantage to having the grip. The rifle suits my needs and is shooting great and will shoot better than I can off hand anyway. Haven't shot outside yet and still trying different ammo. So far it shoots the three types I have in hand very well at 50 feet. Eley, RWS and Wolf. The Wolf is getting it so far. It has a match chamber that engraves the bullet but still extracts a loaded round. Rich had a name for the reamer but can't recall what it is now.
