A local guy here is having to remove all firearms from his house and is selling a bushmaster .308 upper. He says it has a 16" crome lined barrel. I am no expert on tactical rifles. I have a ar-15 but I bought it as is. This guy is asking $400.oo for the upper. Does anyone have experience with a bushmaster .308? Are .308 lowers expensive? I cant seem to find any real good info online.

I've seen 308 lowers at gun shows for $250-300 range. A 308 is not an AR-15, but a different animal. 308's have different lowers, Rock River lowers accept FAL magazines. DPMS uses the MagPul mags. Most are now standardizing on the MagPul especially since Remington bought out DPMS and Bushmaster. You may need to go to a gun store or gun show with your upper to find a lower to fit it.
