Hey all,
I'm looking for a good gun store in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. I'm headed back to Minnesota for Christmas with my wife's family. My nephew and my brother-in-law want some help shotgun shopping.
I can take them to Cabela's or Gander Mountain, but I was looking for a more serious gun store alternative.
Thanks

The Frontiersman in SLP is pretty good.

Thanks Take them to Duluth to see Bentleyville and stop at Puglisi's on the way. That's as serious as gun shops get. pugsguns.com Ahlmans down in Morristown is also worth a trip.

Does Berger Brothers still exist in MSP? They would be a reasonable place to look into shotties or at least they were.
Or you could do a little road trip to Puglisi's in Duluth - it would be worth it - really.

Berger Brothers got bought out by Gander in the late 90s. Too bad, I used to love Berger bros. Ahlmans aint bad but they tried to screw me a couple times so I don't go there any more. Hart Guns down in Albert Lea is worth the drive imo. Decent selection and the dude is a straight shooter.

Yeah, but it has the locations (including a second shop in Mason City) and hours. Better than most

Ahlman's is 'bout an hour south - you'll want all day. Ranges on site. Phone #'s for Ahlman's - (507) 685-4243 or 4244

Yeah, his kid runs the Mason City store.
I prefer to deal with the old man though.

The Frontiersman in SLP is pretty good. Years ago they used to be one of the it places. Reeds in Walker is worth the drive- selection & prices. Bill's Gun Shop and Joe's Sporting Goods (St. Paul)
