All my hunting guns wear a Andy Langlois "Contractor." 1" for the light rifles, 1 1/4" for the heavier ones.

What campfire member makes slings for sale? IIRC he makes them with a loop for shooting support.

On wood rifles a 1" Montana sling on synthetic rifles a Paracord sling from Sandstormcustomrifleslings.com I checked out the paracord sling you mentioned here and I really like the thing. What do they weigh?

I really like Brownell's Latigo sling, have a couple of them, but the Montana Sling looks like a dandy as well (haven't tried one). One of my Latigos has been lucky; this from about a month ago:

I have found the Safari sling to work well for me on long days, especially when I'm packing meat out. http://www.cabelas.com/gun-slings-safari-rifle-sling-1.shtmlI have some very nice leather slings custom made by the local saddle shop but I just don't use them any more after I found these.

What do they weigh? Im not sure as i dont have a scale but i have 3 of these slings, one for each Montana and it's the only sling I'll ever buy again for synthetic stocked rifles. Still going with Montana slings for wood rifles though. If i were to guess id say they weigh between 1/4 and 1/3 the weight of a 1" leather Montana sling. They're really light, strong and look awesome. I get the adjustable slings in the "hunting length" with QD swivels and in the double cobra weave. Cory

I put 1" Montana slings on my hunting rifles and Turner Saddlery M1907 leather slings on my military rifles.

Cory Thanks Cory, I just ordered an adjustable, hunting length, standard weave, in charcoal grey for my Stiller. Interested to see how these things work and exactly what they weigh.

The Claw and I replaced the plastic swivels with stainless. + 1. Feels like its glued to my shoulder, never slips and cheap at academy sports.

Same here. I use them on my rifles and crossbow. Really nice when in a stand as they can't fall. Great when walking around, too. Always ready. Been using them so long I can't remember when I didn't use them, and I'm 60.
