Wilbur and Orville Wright on December 17th 1903 flew and airplane for the first time at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Not bad for a couple of Bike mechanics from Dayton , OH who was told it could not be done and they did it anyway. Thank you Wilbur and Orville I am what I am today because you did what could not be done.

Wilbur and Orval stopped by the house of their uncle on the way to fly that contraption. My next door neighbor remembers his grandfather, their uncle, talking about those sill idiots and their crazy ideas about flying.

Despite being an aviation family way back ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_T._Epps) none of us have ever been to Kitty Hawk where it all started. That will be remedied in March, We're rented a house for a family vacation about 3 miles north of Kill Devil Hills. Looking forward to standing where they stood.
