I have had one for a couple of years....a 2-7 that I put on a Marlin 336. I got it mainly because it has a compact profile that fits that rifle well. I have enjoyed it, I think it is a nice scope, especially for the money. I have never had any problems seeing well enough with it to shoot during legal hunting hours.

I originally had two of the 2-7x33 offerings one plex and one accurange. $119 and $129 respectively. A friend wanted the plex model and he had a 1-4x20 VariXII I wanted so we traded. I still have the accurange model on a 30-06 Handi-rifle and it has ok glass, is compact, plenty of eye relief and the reticle is cool also, though I use 180's and not the 150's the reticle corresponds with. Overall I like/liked both scopes and think they are a great value at what I paid. Now maybe not so much.
I see Natchez has some great closeouts on some Nikon optics including some riflescopes at great prices. I like the Redfield very much but it is not the end all be all at $200. Maybe with a discount code or sumpin.
Take your kids and your grand kids huntin' and shootin'.

Mine is a 3-9 that I picked up marked as used. Looked NIB to me - no ring marks at all. Seems bright and well worth the $100 that it cost. I put it on a Mini-14 (said to be hard on scopes because of the reverse thrust of the closing bolt. I have not used it hard, but I am happy with it. jack

Good glass for the money. Put a 3-9 on an 8mm Gibbs that I had built for my dad, 2 years zero problems so far. Also have a 2-7 on my CZ-452. I would say that they are quite comparable to the Weaver Classic V scopes in quality.

I bought two 3x9's for my daughter's rifles. The look nice, the finish is nice, the image quality is good to my eyes and they are inexpensive. I picked up both of the scopes for 99.00 each marked as clearance at Academy.
The reason they were number on on the list:
Redfield is owned by Leupold and Stevens, the scopes are made in the USA and they have a lifetime warranty. I suspect Leupold will warranty the scopes for our lifetime.

I've got 3 or 4 of them and well pleased with them all. Parallax is very easy to adjust, just like the leupolds.

I have Leupold VX II 2-7x32's on two of my rifles and a Redfield Revolution 2-7x33 on another rifle. Leupold's are a step up with regard to the glass/reticle quality, but the Redfield is a great scope for the price. I would not hesitate to buy another Redfield.

I run one on my daughters 257 Roberts. It is a 3-9x40 with the Accu-range reticle. It has nice glass, appears rugged, and holds zero. I was using the reticle out to 500 yards with little difficulty. Good bang for the buck, especially if caught on sale.

I think I have 2 mounted, a 2-7x32 and a 3-9x40, both duplex.
Both have decent glass, were easy to zero etc.

Great scope for the money. I've had the 3-9x 40 on my .300 Wby for about two years now and it has been great!

I had a Redfield 2x7 lowpro for 30 gun seasons and now it's foggy. I bought a Redfield Revolution for my sons .270Win. I like it. Seems clearer than my eyes are. It was 130 bucks 2 years ago. I bought another one to replace my 30 year old scope. It was 180 + tax= 190 - 35 rebate - 38 in Cabelas points. Still a good scope for 155 bucks. Both are Redfield Revolutions, not the cheaper Philipine made one. Revolutions are USA / lifetime Warranty.

I had a 2-7x for a little while. It was so-so, and didn't compare very well to my $199 Viper 2-7x. There was a very noticeable difference between the two side-by-side, at least with my two scopes.

I have a 2-7x and like it quite well. The only complaint I have is the adjustments seem a bit mushy and the individual clicks hard to determine sometimes.
Always remember that you are unique, just like everyone else.

I had a Redfield 2x7 on Remington Model 7 carbine. The fit and appearance was good. Size was very good and power selector was great. Optics were average for the class of scope. I had no problems with the scope and sold it with rifle. I compared the optics of Redfield and a low end Pentax on Savage 243 together and choose to keep the Pentax. No complaints with the Redfield. With the Redfield prices up, I now step up with a litle more money to better optics.
