15 savage hunters gathered for a 1 day hunt here in NEPA. My buddy bagged the only buck with his early F 30-30. A good array of models were represented from early E's and F's, one barrel banned carbine, my pre war R with lightfoots scope mount (really nice), an A, EG, a late F, and I think I even saw a post mil. We all had a really good day!

That is the first time I have seen a hunt of that size centered around a manufacture. Pretty neat. Any excuse to get together for a hunt is usually a good one.

What a novel idea, and to find all those guys available on the same day, with Savages. Just a super fun sounding idea. You know, it might be kind of fun to try that here.

This hunt has been going on for awhile. They always schedule it for the same day late in the season. Everyone saves a doe tag so they can participate. It is driving deer in big woods, not highly successful. Many of us only see each other on this one day so it is very much a social event. Thanks for reading, Tom W

Hmm. I'm moving to the southwest part of the state, I know there's couple of other guys on here from Cambria/Somerset counties. Maybe we could put something together out there.

I'M I'm one of the founders of that hunt with my brother, the guy kneeling with mad Bomber hat on. LOL. That Winchester problem will be fixed this year with two new old Savage 99.One is a 303 made in 1895 half round half octagon! I have never seen one like it.
