Hello Everyone. Hope everybody had a nice Christmas and Santa came by.
This is most likely my last knife build for the year. This one has about whipped me. I am seeing little screws and file cuts in my sleep. I made this for my eye doctor. Without him I could not see to do a lot of this stuff.
This is my Model "Sherpa". I have only made it in the past as a hunter/utility folder. I decided to spruce this one up a bit.
Blade is 136 layer ladder pattern damascus made of 1095 and 15n20. Hollow ground with swedge.
Thumb stud is polished 416 SS with inlay of stabilized sword fish bill.
Bolsters are 16 x 32 layer "explosion pattern" made from 1095 and 15n20 with pure nickel foil between the layers.
Scales are stabilized sword fish bill with thin black liners.
Frame is titanium anodized gold with blue accents.
Lock is concealed spring "Liner Lock"
Close the knife measures 4 5/16"
Open it measures 7 3/8"
I hope everyone has a Happy New Year. Thanks for looking.
