Barreled action SS and factory trigger only. Low round count and good contact on the lugs. Very good condition. What's the going rate?

I would guess $450 - $500 or so since complete guns are bringing $700-$750, and the Ti stocks are bringing $200, ADL bottom metal will run you $50+ If you are selling, I might be interested.

And I just ordered a Mtn Rifle Edge stock to fit my 7-08 Mtn Guide so I'll have an extra Ti stock that I'll need that 243 for...

That could work too. Considering we'll probably be sharing the same camp next year.....

My local gun shop actually has a Mountain LSS in 7-08 that has me thinking. Sell the 243 for a 7-08. And put that barreled in my Ti stock. I also have a Edge on order that would be a perfect mate to either one.

I have one of the Gander Mtn Guide .243's I bought here in the fire a couple years ago for $700ish with the stock that was pretty much NIB. Its a shooter and not one I'd let go of, they where a nice little rifle and tough to find these days.

A Mountain Guide is nothing more than a Remmy Mtn rifle action in an old style ti stock with adl style mag box. Nothing magical about that. Mtn rifles are available aplenty, get you a mag box and adl stock and you are ready to go. Originally they were supposed to have a fluted bolt and I did sell one like that, but it was the only one I saw. It was one of the last ones I got and they were the ones that Gander and Cabelas did not sell but were sold directly to my wholesaler.

They did make Mtn rifles in long action also and I did convert a 3006 Mtn rifle into a poor mans ti with just such a take-off ti stock and adl mag box. They make a nice light rifle for some, albeit 1/2 lb heavier than a true ti, but without the sticky ti action. The Bell and Carlson ti stocks don't fit me worth a hoot as I had to use high mounts to be able to see through the scope. I sold the above mentioned rifle on here to someone in Wa. Said he liked it a lot. I'm thinking the above action SS in an edge would be the bomb.

After looking at the amount of 6mm pills on my bench I think the smart thing would be shoot the chit out of this barrel then order me up a 260 barrel. TI stock is spoken for when my McM comes in.

You still want to trade me for my 260? I've been stalling. I love the ss sevens but then again that Montana would be sweet too.

Elkguy offered me a price for the package that I couldn't refuse. Now it's funds for sending my CLR to Melvin for upgrades. And funds for my Edge. The TI stock is still yours though.
